I just love personalized gifts. A handmade, personalized gift is even more meaningful, in my opinion. Even if you make it for yourself! I used a picture of my daughter to make a sweet glass pendant that I absolutely love to wear. You could easily change the picture to match any of your loves or interests.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY pendant:
- Glass Tile Rectangle
- Photo of Your Choice
- Scrapbook Paper or Assorted Die Cuts
- Dimensional Magic
- Memory Foil Tape
- Bail
- Aleene’s Jewelry Glue
- Bone Folding Tool
Step one: Fussy cut an image from a picture. Glue it onto a die cut and add other paper embellishments, like the wings and the word.

LOVE how this turned out!!
What a great idea to use the tape as faux solder.
Great tutorial and your daughter is adorable!
OK here I am again, Boy I am getting old, I keep missing things, I found your material list after I sent email off regarding the bails??? Only are these bails the kind you can glue on or how do they attach to the pendant???
also, can we enter your contest more than once?
Hi Ruth! Thanks for the nice compliment and the great question! You have to glue the bail on. I like to use Aleene’s jewelry glue. I’m glad you like my project!
Hi Ruth,
No, the contest is one entry per person.
Thanks!
What kind of bail did you use on this pendant, having hard time finding the glue on ones…? Your ideas and tips are just awesome…
