This is one of the easiest necklaces you can make. I like it for summer because it has a lot of impact but it isn’t a lot of “stuff” hanging around your neck. Who wants a lot of stuff hanging around their neck in the heat of summer? Not me!
Here is what I used for this particular necklace:
I used most of the 3 yard roll of Genya cord. Approximately 2 inches from one end tie a knot. Add a bead and tie another knot. About one inch down the cord tie a knot, add a bead and tie a knot. Really, it’s that simple. You can just keep adding beads and knots until you get to the other end leaving a 2 inch tail. Tie a square knot (for extra security you can add a dot of glue) and you are finished.
You can make this necklace with all sorts of cords and beads. Perfect for a Day Camp craft for older kids.
