If you’ve played with making paracord jewelry and accessories, you know just how much fun it can be to create with. This Halloween DIY skeleton paracord zipper pull would be super easy (and inexpensive!) to make for yourself or as a quick gift for a friend.
Supplies needed to make a DIY skeleton paracord zipper pull:
- Craft Paracord
- Skull Bracelet Beads
- Split Key Ring
- Clear Filament
- 2.5mm Silver Crimp Tubes
- Crimp Tool
Step 1. Cut two 12″ pieces of paracord. These are going to make up the body of the DIY skeleton so you can choose any color you’d like. Consumer Crafts has a great selection to choose from!
Step 2. Begin by folding one string in half and knotting the other string in a forward knot at the base. Continue making knots until you’re happy with the body size (about 4 knots).
Step 3. Take a piece of nylon string and wrap in half around the key chain. String both nylon strings through the skull and pull tight.
Step 4. With nylon strings on either side of the paracord loop, add a crimp bead and secure with crimp tool. Trim excess.
Step 5. Push the paracord body all the way to the skull.
Step 6. Make knots in the arms and legs. Trim excess and carefully finish the knotted ends with fire. Be careful not to singe any more of the paracord than what is necessary. Take care because the ends will be quite hot for a while!
And there you have it! Just hang your new Halloween DIY skeleton paracord zipper pull on a purse or backpack and you’re ready to enjoy the season. This would be a great little gift to make co-workers or friends since you can make 15 individual zipper pulls with the same supplies it takes to make one. They would be so easy to make and gift! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have fun making these.
If you’re gifting these adorable DIY skeleton keychains, make sure to package them up in a super cute Halloween DIY pillow box!
