I love a good and easy DIY – so today I’ll be sharing how to create a one-of-a-kind, show-stopping glitzy crystal DIY statement necklace to wear for special occasions or when you’re just feeling fancy. This easy crystal DIY statement necklace uses ready-to-use and easy-to-assemble pendants and materials so you only need a few supplies to achieve a fun and unique necklace. So what are you waiting for, read on to find out how easy it is to assemble and customize your own!
- Orchid Style Opaque and Crystal Rhinestone Mix Pendant
- Hematite and Crystal Rhinestone Drops
- Necklace Chain (pictured is the Tortoise Curb Chain)
- Jewelry Pliers Set
- Jewelry Findings
Step 1. Disassemble the Hematite and Crystal Rhinestone Drops by un-linking the jump ring between the middle pendant and the connectors. I chose these as I loved the formation of the crystal. But you can also use earring components such as this Antique Gold with Crystal Rhinestones and if you do, you can totally skip this step!
Step 2. Assemble your pendant. I chose the Orchid Style Opaque and Crystal Rhinestone Mix pendant as the centerpiece of my necklace – it’s just so pretty! You can definitely use other pieces – check out the pendants available on the Consumer Crafts website for inspiration. Attach the two crystal rhinestone drops from Step 1 on either side of the centerpiece pendant by linking them with a jump ring.
Step 3. Finally, attach your chain. If using a curb chain such as the Tortoise Curb Chain, attach a lobster clasp on the other end of the pendant so you have a way of opening and closing the necklace piece.
I decided to use this ready-made Hematite chain instead since it goes much better with my fashion style. This ready made chain comes with a lobster clasp on each end so you just attach your necklace piece and voila!
