Are you looking for a fun way to display your favorite photo or an inspirational quote? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Today’s project combines a few of my favorite things – gold glitter, my handy dandy glue gun and a free printable! And, I’m so excited to share it with you.
This DIY magnetic wood frame is easy to make and an inexpensive way to display large prints. Forget big bulky frames. This magnetic frame is easier to hang and much prettier making it the perfect frame for any room in the house.
Supplies need to make your own wood frame + free printable:
- 1 x 24 Wood Strip (cut to an inch larger than your poster/print)
- Gold Glitter Spray or Wood Stain
- Glue Gun with Glue Sticks
- Small Eye Screws
- Jute Cord
- My Free Word Art Printable
- White Cardstock
First, spray the wood strips with gold glitter spray. Feel free to stain the wood if glitter isn’t your thing.
Use your handy dandy glue gun to glue the magnets about an inch from each end of the wood strips.
Screw in the small eye screws in the top of one of the wood strips.
Thread jute cord through the eye screws and tie a knot.
Now you’re ready to add your photo and hang your fabulous magnetic frame.
I was originally going to stain the wood but after I designed my printable, I decided that the wood needed to be gold. And, I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve used Gold Glitter Spray and I can’t believe I’ve been missing out. This stuff is amazing! I’m ready to start spraying everything with glitter. I’ve already added glitter wine glasses to my list of craft projects.
