I have a got a simple and quick DIY valentine wreath for you today! I love decorating with wreaths and last year I stumbled upon this wreath that caught my eye. I loved how she used sequins to cover her wreath. I’ve been really loving gold lately so I decided to create a gold sequin wreath base that I could use over and over again for multiple holidays.
Supplies needed to make your own sequin DIY valentine wreath:
- Sequins on a Spool (I used Gold).
- Wreath Form.
- Corsage Pins.
- White Feathers.
- Wood Heart Cutout.
- Pink Craft Paint.
- Felt .
- Hot Glue.
Start with a round plain wreath form.
I pinned down a piece of gold sequin trim and then started wrapping it around my wreath. Continue wrapping around the wreath until all the white space has been covered. This does take some time! A perfect activity to do while catching up on your favorite shows.
Once your DIY valentine wreath has been wrapped, it is time to decorate! I wanted to be able to reuse my gold wreath for holidays so I created a removable valentine decoration. I hot glued feathers onto the felt making sure to cover up their entire piece with feathers.
I painted a simple wood heart a shade of light pink and glued it to the middle of my feather/ felt piece.
Once my decoration was done, I pinned it to my gold sequin DIY valentine wreath. Now when Valentine’s day is over I can simply remove that decoration and I’ve got gold wreath ready to decorate for St. Patrick’s day.
I love how simple the pink heart and feathers are against the bright gold DIY valentine wreath.
There you have it! A super simple easy to make gold wreath that you can enjoy for multiple holidays!
