Looking for candle holder decorating ideas that would make for simple gifts for your friends this holiday season and that won’t take you until the last minute to finish? One that you can actually have hopes of making on your own for your loved ones? These DIY color blocked candle holders are that gift! They are cute, modern, and easy to customize to your recipient’s home decor color scheme with just a few jars of paint.
Supplies needed to make these candle holder decorating ideas:
For these candle holder decorating ideas, begin by choosing what colors you want for each candle holder. You could do black on the outside and white on the inside or vice versa, or give them the colorful look I did with red, dark pink, coral, peaches and cream, mint, and light pink paint.
Once you have your colors, simply paint the inside of the square one of the colors and the outside the other color. Take care not to get the paint on the front wood part. I love the look of the exposed wood on the front of the candle holders mixed with the colors. I bet you could even stain it to a dark walnut for the black and white version!
Once the paint is dry, you can stack your DIY color blocked candle holders back together. Then tie a ribbon bow around the middle of all three to make them look like a wrapped gift for gifting!
At under $10 for a set of three, you can afford to gift all your friends with a set of these candle holders. Or better yet, make several for yourself and use them down the center of your holiday table. You can even place ornaments or mini bottle brush trees in the middle to create a holiday diorama. There are so many candle holder decorating ideas possible with these! Now I just need to know what colors are you going to use?!
