I don’t know about you, but I am constantly tripping over things and stubbing my toe during middle-of-the-night restroom trips. It’s so frustrating! But I don’t want to turn the light on, which wakes my husband. So I thought a night light would be perfect. Most night lights are for kids so I decided to make my own simple, adult version! Today, I am going to show you how to make a night light that is extremely customizable, so use your imagination!
Supplies needed to make your own night light:
Step 1: Begin unwinding wire from the spool, using your fingers or flat nose pliers to straighten it as you go. I did not cut a piece, I just started my project and when I could see how much I would need for my shape, I made the cut.
Step 2: Wrap the wire around the night light base a few times. Secure the first piece of wire to the next piece by pinching and wrapping a bit.
Step 3: Form your wire shape using pliers. I chose a simple arrow shape and it was really easy to make.
Step 4: I slipped the end of the arrow through the wire base that I formed in Step 2.
Step 5: Bend your wire back and wrap that last piece entirely around the base. And you’re done!
Plug it in and check out your handiwork. Here it is with the lights off.
What shape would you make for your night light?
