Picture Frame Homemade Christmas Gifts for Grandparents.
I went with a faux chalkboard look (pretty sure my mom didn’t want the mess of real chalk!) but you’re more than welcome to use real chalk or even vinyl letters. There are so many ways to customize and embellish this frame to match the decor and style of whomever is receiving it. I was super tempted to use some pretty DecoArt Chalk Paint on the wood but decided to keep it natural. You could even add the names of the grandkids to even further personalize this homemade Christmas gift for grandparents!
Supplies needed to make your own grandparents picture frame:
- Unfinished Chicken Wire Frame with Chalkboard Top.
- White Graphite Transfer Paper.
- Metallic Paint Markers (you’ll just need the white one).
- Wood Clothes Pins.
- “Grandkids Welcome” Free Printable.
Step One. Use the graphite paper and free printable to transfer word outlines to chalkboard.
Step Two. Use a white paint pen to color in the words.
Step Three. Use clothespins to clip on pictures or…
Step Four. Make it a gift package by wrapping the pictures in an envelope and including the clothespins in a little treat bag tied with baker’s twine.
How easy was that?! And you know that the grandparents are going to love getting a package with pictures included! You’ll never how to tell them that it only cost about $10 to make. Hope you enjoyed this homemade Christmas gifts for grandparents tutorial and have fun making your Grandparents Picture Frame!
