While thinking about what I should create for the Plastic Canvas Challenge, I realized plastic canvas doesn’t always need to be the base of your creation. It can be used as a unique and versatile way to embellish a project. Today I’ll be showing you how to make a simple embellished homemade air freshener with just a few supplies. This is a very quick, easy and inexpensive craft that can be easily duplicated for every room in your house and would make great little gifts! Don’t forget to get the kids involved to help choose which designs you should make – the older ones can even help stitch.
I used a mason jar as the container for the air freshener and replaced the top with plastic canvas. I found this great space invaders pattern online to decorate the top of the plastic canvas.
