When spring comes around, my thoughts turn to flowers and outdoor parties. It gets extremely hot where I live in the summer, so spring is the best time for outdoor gatherings. I was inspired by wedding pomanders to create these pretty, easy to make floral party DIY lantern crafts. These lanterns are perfect for any indoor or outdoor gathering! Follow along as I show you how to make your own fun DIY lanterns.
Supplies needed to make your own floral DIY lantern:
- Paper Lanterns.
- Paper Flowers.
- Crystal Drop Pendants.
- Clear Thread/String.
- Mini Party Lights.
- Glue Gun.
Step one. Hot glue the paper flowers all over the lantern. I started with the largest ones, then the medium flowers. I filled in the gaps with the smallest paper flowers.
Step two. Glue the crystals onto the edges of the flowers.
Step three. Hang one crystal from the center of the lantern with string. Add another string for hanging.
All that’s left to do now is place one of the mini party lights in the DIY lantern. These mini lights make the lanterns glow beautifully after the sun goes down. These easy to make lanterns are perfect for any garden party or wedding, and you can change the flower and lantern colors to coordinate with your theme. Have fun crafting and creating!
