With all the time indoors of late, I have been spending some time coming up with indoor garden decoration ideas. This living garden pegboard wall is the easiest DIY and is perfect for displaying all your pretty indoor plants for spring. The shelves work perfectly for small planters, and the containers are easily converted into hanging planters. Then accessories like the peg dowels and circles can hold air plants or hanging planters. All you need to customize it is some paint!
Supplies needed to make indoor garden decoration ideas:
- 4 Wooden Pegboard Kits
- 1 Peg Wall Large Container
- Pegboard Circles
- Acrylic Craft Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Small Cement Pots
- Hanging Planters
- Ziploc Bags and Soil
- Plants
Begin by unwrapping all your pegboard pieces and figure out a configuration that works best on your wall. Then use screws to hang the pegboard panels on the wall.
Next, it is time to paint your shelves and containers. I went with a pink, coral, and purple color scheme that coordinated well with the green plants. But what colors you choose for your indoor garden decoration ideas is completely up to you and what works in your home. Once the shelves are dry, it is simply a matter of hanging them with the dowels in the pegwall kit. Then adding your small potted plants. I really love the cement pot I listed above as it is easy to customize with paint to match your living peg wall.
The pegwall circles also work well to hold air plants and extra dowels can be used to for hanging planters.
To convert the containers into planters, simply fill the container with a ziplock bag and add in your potting soil and plants. So simple and I love how the plants spill out over the sides of the container!
And that’s it! So simple, but such a statement piece in your home. Plus all the fresh oxygen from the plants is a bonus!
Slowly I want to keep adding panels to the wall to completely fill up the wall with peg wall squares and all the plants! How pretty would that be? What indoor garden decoration ideas do you have?
