Decorating with succulents is a great way to add a touch of spring to your home decor. At this time of year, I am always looking for ways to add color and freshness to my home with little touches that make a big impact and I am excited to share how to make this beautiful DIY spring succulent wreath.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY spring succulent wreath:
- 12″ Foam Wreath Form
- Artificial Succulents (I used: multibranch with buds, ladder tips, burgundy center lotus, green and white haworthia
- Light Green Linen Ribbon or Burlap Linen Ribbon
- Jute Ribbon
- Grenadine Glitz Yarn
- Floral Pins
- Hot Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Floral Wire Cutters (optional)
Step 1. To get started, you’ll wrap the polyester ribbon around the entire wreath form. Be sure to pull it tight as you go around. You can secure with hot glue but I prefer floral pins. (As a side note, this polyester ribbon is called light green but appears as more of a grey color.)
Step 2. Next up you’ll start wrapping the jute ribbon around the wreath form covering about half. Secure with floral pins.
Step 3. Now it’s time to wrap around the multi colored yarn. You’ll only cover about 2/3rds of the jute ribbon.
Step 4. Now that your wreath form is all wrapped, you’ll start adding on your succulents.
Trim them down as necessary and start securing them with floral pins and hot glue. Use the longer stems first, finishing off with the smaller, tighter succulents such as the lotus.
That’s it! A simple but elegant DIY spring succulent wreath.
