Most people these days are guilty of using their camera phones way more than other types of cameras and Instagram is all the rage. We often fail to display these pictures anywhere other than the web. Making a frame dedicated to holding Instagram pics is a great way to display these photos so that you can appreciate them daily.
Supplies needed to make your own Instagram frame:
- 12″x12″ Unfinished Wood Shadow Box.
- Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint.(I used Innocence Pink, Refreshing Light Green, and Everlasting White.)
- Sawtooth Picture Hangers.
- Yellow Glitter Sparkle Tape.
- Mini Triangle Canvas Shapes.
- Decorative Photo Corners.
- Krylon’s Matte Finish Spray Paint.
- Baker’s Twine.
- Paint Brush.
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks.
Because I’m a huge fan of glitter and don’t like anything too plain, I used sparkle tape to create gold stripes on the background of the shadow box.I attached a sawtooth hanger to the back of the frame. To do this, I marked the middle of the frame with a pencil and simply lined the middle of the sawtooth hanger up with the line and nailed it down.
I wanted to create a little something extra to decorate the Instagram frame, so I created a pennant banner. I painted polka dots on the canvas triangles and attached baker’s twine to the back of the triangles with hot glue.
Thanks again to Bethany for this great photo frame idea!
