We are so happy to introduce our newest member of the Crafts Unleashed Design Team, Kelly from Live Laugh Rowe! Kelly is an incredibly talented creator of beautiful things. We are so excited for the new and fun crafts she will be bringing here to share on Crafts Unleashed! Without further ado, here’s Kelly with the cutest DIY cork push pins ever!
Hello sweet friends! Cork seems to be trending lately…. I’ve seen cork shoes, trivets, wall art, magnets, and so many other fun cork crafts around the world wide web. I’ve been dying to try these DIY push pins for some time and I finally made that happen. YAY! I’m super excited to share this fun and incredibly easy tutorial with all of you today!
Supplies needed to make your own DIY cork push pins:
- Corks
- Thumb Tacks
- Beacon Gem-Tac Permanent Adhesive
- Drill (optional)
- Feathers or Dried Flowers
Ready? Here we go.
Step 1: Drill holes into the tops of each of your corks (I used a 3/32 drill bit). Side note: You might be able to pull this off with a screw if you don’t have a drill, just be sure your hole isn’t too big or too deep.
Step 2: Glue a thumb tack to one side of each cork. Let it set for 24 hours.
Step 3: Add feathers (or dried flowers) and fancify your bulletin boards!
What do you think? They make me smile, and I think they added a little extra flair to the painted bulletin board in my craft room. A lot of creative fun can happen here, wouldn’t you agree? I think they’d be fun to share with co-workers too! Happy crafting!
