When we saw this super cute dipped wall letter art from Pottery Barn Teen we immediately fell in love with the look…but not the price! So we found a way to get the same look for a fraction of the PB Teen cost. With some paper mache letters, tape and a little paint, you can create your very own dipped wall letter art and add a personal touch to any room! The cool thing about this wall letter project is that you can can completely customize them to fit your style. Create a personal monogram or spell out an inspiring word like Love, Create, or Dream. The possibilities are endless!
- 23.5 inch Paper Mache Letters
- Studio 71 Acrylic Paint (I used Bright Aqua Green & Titanium White)
- FrogTape® Multi-Surface Painter’s Tape
- Foam Brush
Step 2. Apply FrogTape to the center of each letter. Since we are painting the top half of the letter first, the top edge of your tape should align with the pencil lines you just drew. Make sure you wrap the tape all the way around the sides of each letter, too.
Step 4. Once the paint has dried, carefully remove the FrogTape from your letters. You should have a very clean line from this awesome painter’s tape! Now apply new tape to each letter, this time with the bottom edge of the tape matching up with the bottom edge of your white coat of paint.
