I have been in love with a glass buoy vase filler that has been on the Pottery Barn website. When I realized I could make about 80 for the price they wanted for 6….I was sold! Grab a few supplies from Consumer Crafts and make this fun nautical decor in just a few minutes.
The picture of the original Pottery Barn version is below. You can see why I love them so much right?
Yep, that is all it takes! Start with two pieces of jute 24 inches long. You are going to double it by folding in the center as shown.
Take piece #1 and put a knot at 4 1/4 inches from the end and one at 6 1/4 inches from the end.
Add hot glue to the center knot and add on your glass float. I put the hole down on all of mine.
Add glue to each knot and bring it up to the sides as shown below.
Tie at the top. I tie piece #1. Then piece #2 on top of it. Then piece #1 together with #2 on top of that. This is so everything is secure.
Make as many as you desire after you get the hang of it. You can make an entire bowl of these glass buoy vase filler in under an hour. Enjoy this nautical decor around your home this summer.
