Summer is on its way and I don’t know about you, but I love adding in fun beachy accents around my home. I wanted to create a simple beach DIY inspired centerpiece and today I’ll share how I used lanterns and seashells along with a variety of other elements for a beautiful beachy vignette.
Supplies needed to make your own beach DIY centerpiece:
- Decorative Large Whitewash Lantern
- Seashells (I used a variety of large and small shells)
- Glass Jar
- Blue Mason Jar
- Small White Lantern
- Jute Cord
One of my favorite parts about this centerpiece is all the little details. Putting together a variety of beach themed items creates a beautiful vignette for any tabletop. The main element of this beach DIY centerpiece is the large wood lantern with a white washed finish. Lay the lantern on its side and then fill it entirely with a variety of large seashells.
Another simple element of this centerpiece is this sand filled jar with seashell accents. Simply fill the jar halfway with sand then top it off with seashells. You can either leave the lid off or keep the lid on depending on your preference.
Adding in soft blue accents are the perfect way to capture that cozy beachy feel. Using these blue mason jars add the perfect touch of color and they can be filled with candles or more shells. Add some jute tied around the top for a fun accent.
Now you’ll lay out all your elements and surround them with a few larger shells. Not only is this a fun way to decorate your home for summer, but it also would make a beautiful centerpiece for any beach inspired party or wedding.
