It’s back to school time! Time to organize your supplies and maybe even charm the new teacher with a little gift. I combined the adorable miniatures and paint cans available at Consumer Crafts to make these fun back to school storage containers. To make your own you will need:
- See Thru Storage Paint Can
- Red Wagon
- Rusted Tin Scooter
- Rusted Tin Wire Net
- Washi Tape
- Baker’s Twine
- Chalkboard Sticker Shapes (optional)
- Spray Paint
- Scrap Paper, Tags, Other Decorations of Your Choice
I made two versions of these storage cans, one appropriate for children and the other a bit more masculine, because it is so hard to come up with gifts for male teachers!
Next, I used E-6000 to glue the miniatures onto the lids.
Cut a strip of 12 by 12 cardstock, distress the edges, and adhere with double sided tape. There will be a slight gap.
Cut a piece of the tin wire net to cover the cardstock. Hold it in place with double sided tape, and cover the gap with washi tape.
Embellish the can with twine, tags, and buttons.
Wrap the handle with bakers twine to make it look like a rope.
