Hey everyone, I’m Jenni from I Spy DIY and I’m so excited about my new line of #ispydiysupplies available exclusively at ConsumerCrafts.com! As a DIY blogger and author I’ve fostered a do-it-yourself philosophy from a young age. My fascination with fashion and magazines led me to a career working at InStyle Magazine as a do-it-yourself fashion columnist. Since launching my career as a thrifty trendsetter and publishing my book, I Spy DIY Style, I’ve transitioned into working on my site full time, hosting DIY events and doing on-air segments with Good Morning America, The Today Show, Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart and more. Adding this line to the I Spy DIY brand is just the next adventure in my career!
A little about #ispydiysupplies: When decorating my first studio, I wanted to display all my tools, but finding ones that looked great, fit my aesthetic, and were functional was no easy task. It was at that moment the idea was born to create my own line! Since then I have moved to a new studio with white walls, beautiful windows and enough room for all my projects. My new studio provided me with the perfect canvas for inspiration when designing the line of DIY supplies.
I partnered with Consumer Crafts to design the line. The whole team came to visit me in my hometown of Milwaukee to brainstorm ideas for the line. We sat down with pens, paper and paint and drew out all the patterns for the products so that each one has a little piece of me. Working with Consumer Crafts was incredible because they understood my vision form the very beginning and made my designs come to life. They were just as dedicated as I was to making quality products that look great, and also function well. The use of social media was a big component of the line, we wanted to make sure everything had a fun, unique hashtag so that people shared the products socially. At the end of the day we just wanted to make really fun, quality tools that put a smile on my reader’s face.
The scissors are a perfect example of the time and work that went into making a quality tool, they were also one of my favorite products to make. The scissors went through several drafts to make sure the blade was sharp, the handle was durable and functional, while also having the adorable heart shape.
- Washi Tape Holder– The washi tape has always been a favorite of mine and is a huge hit with my followers. It went through so many revisions to get the perfect shape and look. Each roll of tape has a distinct pattern that was hand drawn by me to make it unique. It also has a great perforated edge to make the DIY experience easier!
- Globe– The globe was really exciting because it was the first DIYable piece that we created. The idea for the globe came about because I was always looking for globes I could paint myself to match my style. Some globes can cost hundreds of dollars, but the #ispydiysupplies globe is an affordable way to get a personalized look. It’s the perfect unique gift for friends and family. I love the idea of using chalkboard paint so you can check off where you’ve been or where you want to go. My next plan is to decorate my globe using black chalkboard and copper leaf!
- Ruler– I wanted to make a ruler that was solid, functional and also super stylish. The clear material and large numbers makes it easy to use from any angle. To make it my own, I added the pop of pink on the sides to ensure it is the perfect addition to any desk!

The goal with my new line is to give fellow DIYers a clean palette for creativity. I love that the patterns in the line work well together, or separately. Having the chance to create my own line is a dream come true. Every piece was designed by me, with the I Spy DIY brand and theme in mind. I wanted to make pretty things that get me excited to DIY and that will hopefully inspire my fellow DIYers to use the pieces in the line as a blank canvas for creativity!
