Fairy gardens are popping up all over the internet and with good reason. They are just so cute! Bring some of that miniature charm into the kitchen with these magnetic DIY fairy garden ideas that you can put right on your fridge! And the best part is that you can change out the scenes and store the extra pieces in a special “secret” compartment.
- Slide Top Wooden Pencil Box
- Sheet Moss
- Fairy Garden Miniatures (I used flower pot, metal tub, red chair, washboard)
- Mini Picket Fence
- Heavy Duty Magnets (3)
- Glue Gun and Hot Glue
- Assorted Paper Scraps
When you slide the lid back into place, you shouldn’t be able to see any wood. That’s what makes the secret compartment! No one will know it opens until you show them! It’s the perfect place to store extra pieces for creating different scenes.
The second scene I created was a dinnertime scene. I turned the metal tin upside down and added a tablecloth and a red chair. Doesn’t it look like the perfect place to dine al-fresco?
