I’m super happy that warmer weather is finally just around the corner. The winter is a great time to stay in and snuggle, but I can’t get enough of warmth and sunshine. And of course with that warm weather comes delicious cold treats of Popsicles and ice cream. My kids dream of the days when they can have Popsicles every day. And so in prep for summer, I have this fun Popsicle and ice cream tote bag tutorial.
This tote bag tutorial is easy to do with a cutting machine or heat transfer printable paper. You can add any color combination you like. I love how this one turned out and can’t wait to use it this summer for the beach or the park. This tutorial is possible using heat transfer printable paper or a cutting machine.
Supplies needed for this summer tote bag tutorial:
- Heat Transfer Vinyl
- Heat Transfer Printable Vinyl
- Blank Canvas Bag
- Free Ice Cream and Popsicle Files
Start with downloading the ice cream files. If you’re not using a cutting machine, you might want to duplicate the designs in any simple photo program until you have as many as you like. Then print on the heat transfer paper. If you’re using a cutting machine, than simply turn the image into a design for cutting. For silhouette you need to trace it. I then duplicated them and grouped them into what colors I wanted the different ones to be. To make it easier for myself, I changed the colors in the program so I could keep the different vinyl colors organized.
Next cut your vinyl and weed. Then place on the bag where you want them to be. Rearrange as you like. When you’re happy with where they are at, then iron on.
And you’re done with this fun and easy tote bag tutorial. You’re now ready to hit the beach or swimming pool this summer. You could make a matching shirt too!
