We have some absolutely amazing teachers in my kids’ lives so it should come at no surprise that we go all out for Teacher Appreciation Week! The school my kids attend usually has different themes for each day of the week but we like to round off the entire week with a larger gift that really shows our teachers just how much we appreciate them. This year we’ll be gifting these cute personalized DIY teacher gift tote bags that are full of useful school supplies from Consumer Crafts and totally reusable!
Supplies needed to make your own DIY teacher gift tote:
Step 1. Use the “Changing The World” Free File and a cutting machine to create the vinyl image. Follow manufacture’s instructions to iron the vinyl in place in the center of the tote.
Step 2. Iron the customized name in place. I ended up shifting the name so that it would fit in one of the blank spaces.
Step 3. Now that your teacher tote is done, all you have to do is fill it with tons of fun school supplies that any teacher would find useful. Some suggestions would be a spool of baker’s twine or hemp, mini Mod Podge bottles, scissors, glitter glue, or washi tape. If you’re planning on giving this gift closer to the last day of school, you could also fill it with a fun magazine, bottle of sunscreen, and some cute flip flops to make sure your teacher is prepared for summer!
Hope you find this personalized DIY teacher gift tote helpful when it comes time to celebrate the important teachers in your kids’ lives. I know this is just a small token of the extreme amount of gratitude they deserve. They really are “changing the world, one child at a time!”
