There are few professions that deserve more gratitude and gifts than teaching! They spend hours and hours every single day looking out for our futures, often at great sacrifice to themselves and their wallets. This is why I absolutely loved making this teacher appreciation DIY jar gift. There are so many different ways to customize and make this jar perfect for that special teacher in your life!
Supplies needed to make this teacher appreciation DIY jar gift:
- Lemons Embossing Folder
- Darice Craft Dies: Citrus Fruit
- DCWV Paper Stacks
- Gemini Die Cutting Machine w/Starter Bundle
- Jute Twine
- Spectrum Noir Markers: Yellows
- Double Sided Hercules Tape
- Clear Glass Jar
Measure the height of your glass jar and cut a strip of cardstock that can wrap around it.
Working one section at a time, run the embossing folder and paper through the embossing machine to transfer design.
I absolutely love how the lemon embossing folder created such a nice subtle design on the paper!
Use the embossing machine and lemon die cut to cut out the shape from the reverse side of paper. Keep paper inside of die cut to easily trace letters with a dark yellow alcohol maker.
Add additional detail to letters with a darker yellow. Remove paper and add green to the leaf.
Add double-sided tape to the ends of the embossed strip and position in place on the glass jar.
Add a second lemon cut-out to the original to create a gift tag. Wrap some twine around the DIY jar a few times and secure with a bow over the gift tag.
You can fill your teacher appreciation DIY jar gift with either lemon candies or lemon-scented gifts. How adorable would it be to put everything needed to make lemonade all in one jar?!
There are so many coordinating embossing folders and die cut sets that you can use this tutorial to make an original gift with. The succulent one or the unicorns are totally on my list of things to make.
Hope you enjoy making a teacher appreciation DIY jar gift of your own!
