I’ve been wanting to make an art wall for a few years now but I didn’t want to have to keep taking the frames down when it was time to change out the pictures. My son loves to draw and is always creating something so it just made sense to make a few artwork frames and create a gallery wall. No glass and no need to take down the frames. The binder clips glued to the frame make it so easy to swap out artwork. Follow along to learn how to make your own quick and easy DIY artwork frame!
- 11 x 14 Picture Frames
- Binder Clips
- Paint color of your choice
- Paint Brush
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- 3-Tier Rolling Cart (optional)
First, remove the glass and backing from frames.
Paint the frames your favorite color. This step is optional. I decided that I wanted a pop of color but you could easily keep your frames the way they come. It’s totally up to you.
Next, glue the binder clip to the frame using your handy dandy glue gun.
Now you’re ready to hang your DIY artwork frame. I made four to create a gallery wall in our living room.
This is definitely an easy to way to make an art wall and it’s the perfect way to swap out your child’s art as they complete new art projects. I’m so happy to finally finish this craft project.
Now it’s time to create new artwork.
But, wait there’s more!
You can’t make awesome art without an art station. I created an art station using the 3-tier rolling cart and we love it. It’s exactly what we needed to organize our art supplies. And, it’s going to be the perfect homework station when school starts. Gotta love anything that keeps things organized.
