How is everyone’s summer? We’ve been busy spending our days at the beach, the pool and with all of our favorite people. What’s a summer gathering without your favorite cupcakes topped with fabulous and fun summer cupcake toppers, right? I’ll show you how to make your own with my free printables. Last week we had a little summer BBQ with our neighbors and I made these adorable summer cupcake toppers. You can’t serve just plain cupcakes at a party. It’s just not allowed especially when they’re this easy to make. I made sure to include images of everything that I associate with summer: sunglasses, beach ball, a palm tree, the sun, and more.
Supplies needed to make your own summer cupcake toppers:
- Bright Colored Cardstock
- White Cardstock
- Summer Fun Cupcake Toppers Free Printable
- 2 inch Scallop Circle Punch
- 1.5 Circle Punch
- Lollipop Sticks
- Double Sided Tape
- Cupcake Liners
Step 1. Download and print the FREE cupcake toppers printable on white cardstock. Use the 1.5 circle punch to punch out the images.
Step 2. Use the awesome 2 inch scallop circle punch to punch shapes from the colored cardstock. I love the bright colored cardstock included in this Brights pack. Plus, the paper is really thick making it perfect for so many projects.
Step 3. Adhere the summer images to the center of the scalloped circles using double sided tape. I don’t know about you but I love double sided tape. It might be my one of my favorite things ever! I use it for so many craft projects.
Step 4. Add lollipop sticks to the back of all your cut out shapes.
Step 5. Simply add cupcake toppers to your favorite summer cupcakes.
Now, step back and admire your fabulous fun cupcakes because they won’t last long. This will be the hard part because you’ll want to eat a cupcake at this time. Well, I say eat the cupcake. Making cupcake toppers deserves a sweet treat and someone needs to taste test the cupcakes.Planning a party this summer? Make sure you make these fun summer cupcake toppers. It will be the perfect addition to your summer party.
