What do you get when you add gold sequins to wooden hangers? The most gorgeous DIY wedding project! My cousin is getting married in April and she is wearing our Grandmother’s wedding dress. This dress is amazing and looks beautiful on my cousin. So, of course, the wanna-be photographer in me realized that her wedding photographer definitely needed pictures of the dress hanging on a gold sequin DIY hanger.
Supplies needed to make your own sequin DIY hanger:
Start by using your handy dandy glue gun to glue the end of the sequin ribbon to the back of the hanger.
Then, just wrap the sequin ribbon around the hanger gluing the ribbon down about every inch. I glued the ribbon to the top of the wooden hanger because it was rounded so it kept it from sliding down.
And, just keep on wrapping and gluing until you get to the end of the DIY hanger.
Repeat on the other half of the hanger.
That’s it! It probably takes about 45 minutes for each hanger so just put on your favorite television show and have fun making your own sequin hangers.
I know I said that I made these for my cousin’s wedding but I think that I need a few for my own closet. These sequin hangers are perfect for any formal dress hanging in your closet. Plus, everything looks better decorated in gold sequins!
