I have all the free templates for you to use to create your own. What are you waiting for? Jump in and let’s make these fun party accessories.
- 12 x 12 Yellow Cardstock
- 8.5 x 11 Green Cardstock
- 8.5 x 11 Light Brown Cardstock
- Lollipop Sticks
- Hot Glue Gun
- Tape Runner
- Electronic Die cutter (optional)
- Templates (JPGs or SVG)
- Headband or Stretch String
Step 1. First, let’s create the pineapple party hat. Use your electronic die cutter to size and cut the templates provided, or if you do not have one, you can cut them by hand and skip the pineapple crosshatching detail. On mine, I used a yellow polka dot cardstock for the pineapple base, a light brown for the crosshatching and a medium green for the pineapple crown. Feel free to vary colors to suit your party!
Step 2. Glue down the crosshatching detail using adhesive spray or white glue – however it is faster to adhere the detail with adhesive spray. Fold the party hat into a cone shape and attach the two ends together with hot glue.
Step 3. Attach the pineapple crown with hot glue. I folded the stem in half and inserted it into the top hole of the party hat. Secure the pineapple crown with a dab of hot glue before inserting it fully into the hat.
Step 4. To wear your party hat, you have the option of attaching it onto a headband or using stretchy string like traditional party hats. And you’re done!
Step 6. Once you have glued the crosshatching detail to the base, wrap the whole thing around your glasses to measure, and then glue the ends down to secure it.
I used green paper straws to give that pop of green for the pineapple crown. Love how simple and easy it is!
Step 7. Finally, let’s create the fun pineapple cupcake toppers! Cut the printable pineapple templates using your die-cutter or manually. You can vary the cardstock patterns you use as well for an extra fun detail.
Step 8. Glue the crosshatching detail down, and then glue the crown on top. It’s pretty straightforward and easy!
Step 9. Finally, attach them onto lollipop sticks and you’re done.
