Spring is on its way and that has me raring to add more greenery to every inch of my home and throw tons of dinner parties! Luckily these DIY geometric clay succulent place cards are just perfect for such an occasion. With a few simple craft supplies, you too can create these place cards to not only mark your guests seat at your next party, but double as a little gift for them to take home as well.
Supplies needed to make your own clay succulent place cards:
Begin by cutting off a 2″ by 2″ chunk of clay and roll it into a ball. Then use your X-acto knife to slice off small sections of clay to create a geometric effect.
Once you have all the edges cut and angled, use the knife to cut a small hole at the top of the clay and even out the bottom so that it will sit upright. Next, bake the clay in a 275°F oven for 20 minutes. Let cool.
The final step is to add your faux succulents into the hole in the clay and add your guest’s initial sticker to the front of the clay.
The letter stickers are perfect because they mark the spot for the guest at the party, but can easily be removed so that the little succulent planter can be used at home too.
I am totally smitten with how simple but classy these DIY geometric clay succulent place cards are. Can’t you just see them at each place setting for Easter dinner? And tell me the greenery doesn’t just look perfect when paired with the light pink and gold place setting.
Feel free to adjust the size of these place cards as you like. You can even use colored clay to match your party theme too! Bring even more succulent love into your home this season with this pretty DIY spring succulent wreath.
