I recently discovered a really cool new craft tool. It’s a special pair of scissors designed to cut fringe. These scissors make five cuts at one time! I have a birthday party coming up, so I decided to use them to make a fringe DIY paper backdrop. It turned out so cute! Use colored cardstock to match your party colors for a customized, statement wall that’s sure to WOW! your guests. Follow along below to learn how to make your own.
Supplies needed to make your own DIY paper backdrop:
- Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors
- Core’dinations Smooth Colored Cardstock (they come in tons of cute color combinations – I used this Botanical pack)
- Scoring Board
- Permanent Double Sided Tape Roller
- Kraft Paper Roll, Butcher Paper or Wrapping Paper
Step one. Begin by cutting fringe along both long edges of the cardstock sheets. This step takes a long time, so turn on a movie and cut the night away!
If you’re throwing a summer party like me, make sure to use this pineapple gift box template for the party favors and make these adorable floral DIY party hats for a fun accessory for all your guests!
