Planning a wedding? Make this DIY ring bearer box for your ceremony. This rustic box is easy to make and is perfect for the ring bearer to bring down the aisle. You can customize the wood burning on the top to be anything that will match your wedding. The wood burning is easy to do so don’t be intimidated!
Supplies needed to make your own DIY ring bearer box:
- Mini Unfinished Wood Box
- Wood Burning Tool
- Pencil
- Wood Stain
- Rag
Start by sketching your design on the top of your wood box with a pencil. I did a heart with an arrow and the initials of the couple. Let your imagination run wild and design something that will match the rest of the wedding.
Use the wood burning tool to burn the design into the wood. The tool is just like using a pencil — it is just HOT! Be careful, go slow, and you will be left with an amazing design in your wood.
Use the stain to stain over the entire box (inside and out). I applied the stain then used a rag to remove any excess. Allow the box to dry completely.

Great right? Now add this DIY ring bearer box to your wedding to-do list today. You will love the results and the custom touch this box gives to your wedding. Add a piece of fabric inside as well if you want to protect your rings then just drop in your rings and hand to your ring bearer.

Love this idea! I made wooden boxes for each table for my daughter’s wedding next weekend and this would have fit the theme perfectly! She already has a traditional pillow for the rings but I’m thinking if time permits, I just may make one of these instead. Thanks Angie, for the inspiration and just at the knick of time too! Pinned to share on my wedding board.
What a darling idea! This would have been perfect for my wedding.
